Author Guidelines

Scope

WBR publishes Business, Education, Technology, and Interdisciplinary work, including artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, educational leadership, teaching and learning, management, finance, innovation, workforce development, and related professional topics.

Article Types & Lengths

• Research Article: 3,000–8,000 words
• Practitioner Article: 1,500–4,000 words
• WBR Insight: 1,000–2,500 words
• Technology Brief: 750–2,000 words
• Commentary / Perspective: 750–2,000 words
• Student Research: 2,000–6,000 words

Manuscript Format

Microsoft Word (.docx) is preferred for initial submissions; PDF is accepted for initial review. Use clear headings, readable formatting, and complete author information. Research and Student Research submissions normally include a 150–250 word abstract and approximately 3–6 keywords.

Citations & Sources

APA 7th edition is the default citation style. Authors are responsible for source accuracy. Do not submit invented, unverifiable, or misleading citations, quotations, statistics, findings, or source claims. Where available, include stable URLs or DOI information in the reference list.

Generative AI

Generative AI may not be credited as an author. Substantive AI assistance must be disclosed. Human authors must review and verify the final content and remain responsible for originality, accuracy, citation integrity, interpretation, and conclusions.

Research Ethics, Conflicts & Originality

Human-participant research should include applicable ethics-review or exemption information. Disclose relevant conflicts of interest and funding when applicable. Identify prior or simultaneous submission concerns. All named authors must approve the submission and take responsibility for the work.

Editorial Review & Peer Review

WBR editorial review is not automatically peer review. AI may assist preliminary editorial evaluation, but AI evaluation is advisory. Final editorial decisions are made by a human editor. A manuscript is described as peer reviewed only after substantive evaluation by appropriately qualified human peer reviewers has been documented.

When your manuscript is ready, use the WBR submission form. Authors may be asked to revise and respond to editorial comments before a final decision.
